Finally, finally, finally I have completed my sock. After much turmoil (dramatic!) I was able to finish up and then kitchener the toe. The class had SO many people in it this Tuesday that my teacher had to drag me to the silence of the back room and read the instructions to me. It was really funny- when I came back out wearing my new sock, everyone cheered and applauded. All the women in the class tease me and call me golden girl because I started socks so soon, but they were proud that I was able to do it!

Of course, after the excitement of finishing your sock fades away, you are left with the stark reality that you're only halfway done with this project...so they made me start my second sock right then and there to make sure I'd go through with it.

As for the weight loss front, I lost one pound. *Yippee*. I'm hardcore diet and exercise for a day and then I lose all motivation. Maybe when I move back to school I'll have more control and only buy healthy foods. Until then, I'll try to run a little more and work on portion control. At least I no longer eat when I'm at work- that cut down on a lot of empty calories.

Great looking sock! Look forward to seeing the pair. I find that the secret to avoiding second sock syndrome is to cast on the second sock while you are still admiring the first one. Great job also on doing the Kitchner graph. I make most of my socks toe up so that I can stay as far away from graphing as possible. :~) Congrats on losing the pound. Remember that slow and steady wins the race.
